Volunteering with a local charity is something thousands of people in this country do on a regular basis. We are truly thankful for each and every person who gives their time to support the Canterbury Care Centre in Guildford each week. Quite simply, we could not function with you!
At the Canterbury Care Centre our wonderful team of volunteers help out in a variety of ways:
- Helping run activities with members
- Preparing lunches
- Having a chat with members over a brew
- Helping on trips and excursions
- Driving members to and from the Canterbury Care Centre (mileage allowance paid)*
Some volunteers come in regularly, and others fit it in around their work and family life.
Volunteering at the Canterbury Care Centre is very rewarding, you will be working directly with members to help make their day special.
We would love to hear from anyone who’s got from just a few hours to a few days a week spare. Most people who volunteer with us have no prior experience in the mental health sector, and a full induction will be given.
